Violet brings together grapes, grapefruit and rhubarb in a fruity, tart aperitif. The alcohol-free version retains this flavour concept and contains less than 0.5% alcohol. Its violet colour also adds a visual accent to mixed drinks.

The recipe contains water, sugar, natural extracts and distillates. Citric acid and quinine complete the blend. Violet can be combined with alcohol-free sparkling wine to make a spritz, or mixed with tonic and Wild Berry.

The bottle contains 0.7 litres. It should be stored away from light to preserve its colour. After opening, the aperitif keeps for at least eight weeks without refrigeration. Its natural ingredients may cause flocculation.

• Palate: On the palate, grapefruit and rhubarb combine with a slight bitterness to create a balanced flavour.

Distillery/Bottler:

The idea for Violet originated at Lake Constance. Behind the brand are founders Bianca and Samuel, who developed an aperitif both with and without alcohol. Grapes, grapefruit and rhubarb form the shared flavour foundation of the two versions.

For production, Violet works with a third-generation, family-run German distillery. Regional ingredients and distillation methods are part of the concept. The alcohol-free recipe combines natural distillates with extracts and is intended as a base for long drinks and cocktails.
