Special features: The Ardbeg 10 y.o. is considered the flagship of the traditional distillery on Islay. The maturation takes place in carefully selected first- and second-fill bourbon casks, which give the whisky its complex and diverse character. After a period of uncertainty in the 1980s and 1990s, Ardbeg has made an impressive comeback since being acquired by the Glenmorangie Company in 1997 and enjoys cult status among whisky enthusiasts today.

The acquisition by Glenmorangie led to increased investment in quality and globalization of the brand.
