BACARDÍ Carta Blanca combines cask maturation with the light character of a white cocktail rum. It matures in American white oak casks before being filtered through a special charcoal blend. This filtration shapes its smooth texture. The bottle contains 0.7 litres of rum at 37.5% alcohol.

Its subtle aromatic profile combines almond, lime and vanilla with floral and fruity notes. These include orange blossom, lavender and rose, as well as apricot, ripe banana and a light touch of coconut. The rum remains light and balanced.

In mixed drinks, Carta Blanca complements other ingredients without overpowering them or disappearing into the background. It suits classic cocktails such as the Mojito and Daiquiri, but can also be combined with cola or fresh juices.

Distillery/Bottler:

Don Facundo Bacardí Massó founded Bacardi in Santiago de Cuba in 1862. He bought a small distillery and developed a lighter style of rum. The bat trademark originated with his wife, Doña Amalia: she discovered fruit bats in the distillery's rafters and suggested using the animal as a symbol. The company later also established production facilities in Mexico and Puerto Rico.

Bacardi makes rum using sugar cane molasses, water and a proprietary yeast strain maintained since 1862. Fermentation usually lasts 20 to 30 hours. Distillation produces both fuller-bodied and lighter spirits, providing scope for the subsequent blends. After maturation, the master blender responsible combines rums from different casks to create each product.
