Baileys Original - MHD- Artikel

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 17% | Colouring: Yes

Special Features:

Baileys Original combines fresh Irish cream with Irish Whiskey and other spirits. Chocolate and a hint of vanilla shape its flavour, while the cream gives it a velvety mouthfeel. Dark chocolate notes accompany milk chocolate, and the alcohol provides warmth.

This cream liqueur can be enjoyed over ice, used in cocktails or poured over ice cream. It is also suitable for baking. Avoid acidic ingredients such as citrus juice when mixing, as they can cause the cream to curdle.

This bottle contains 0.7 litres at 17% alcohol and is sold as a best-before-date item. Please check the best-before date on the bottle. Baileys Original should be stored between 0 and 25 °C, away from direct sunlight; refrigeration is not required.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose recalls milky coffee and milk chocolate, with a delicate note of nutmeg.
• Palate: The liqueur is creamy and balanced on the palate. Cocoa powder, dark chocolate and milky coffee combine with a subtle nutty nuance.
• Finish: Nutmeg and black pepper emerge in the creamy, mocha-like finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Launched in 1974, Baileys was one of the pioneers of cream liqueur. The brand belongs to Diageo, and Baileys is produced and bottled exclusively in Ireland. The combination of Irish dairy farming and whiskey production remains the foundation of the Original.

The importance of milk supplies to Baileys is illustrated by its collaboration with brothers Joe and Michael Hayden’s farm in Tinahely, County Wicklow. A purpose-built stainless-steel rotary milking parlour allows 230 cows to be milked in just over an hour. Sensors fitted to the animals help monitor the herd.
