Special features: This 18-year-old rum from Barbados was distilled in 2006 and bottled in 2025 by Elixir Distillers. After 14 years of tropical aging in the Caribbean, it underwent an additional four-year maturation in new bourbon barrels in Liverpool and Speyside, resulting in a harmonious and slow maturation. The limited release includes only 500 bottles.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Aromas of dried coconut, toasted marshmallow, and warm caramel, accompanied by floral notes of rose petals and orange blossom.
- Palate: Full-bodied and seductive with a mix of citrus fruits, maple syrup, and coffee chocolate, reminiscent of a cookie filled with raspberries, rounded off with fine, dry spices.
- Finish: Long-lasting with notes of mandarin and dusted chocolate.
