Special Features:

Eight years of maturation in the tropical climate of Barbados shape this Rum Nation bottling. It combines a fairly light to medium body with a velvety, almost chewy mouthfeel. The rum is distinctly fruity without being excessively sweet.

This limited edition is offered at 40% alcohol in a 0.7-litre bottle with gift packaging. Its orange-and-black design features a postage-stamp motif reflecting its Barbadian origin. The rum makes a suitable conclusion to a meal or an accompaniment to a cigar.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines honeyed sweetness and floral fragrance with intense notes of ripe blood oranges, apricots and peaches. A slightly vinous nuance complements the fruit.
• Palate: The rum is delicate and distinctly fruity on the palate. Ripe oranges, peaches and apricots are followed by bananas, dates and raisins. Cane sugar brings earthy and vegetal undertones, joined by a note reminiscent of herbal liqueur.
• Finish: A moderate spiciness develops in the finish. The earthy side of the cane sugar becomes more pronounced, accompanied by candied orange peel.

Distillery/Bottler:

Fabio Rossi founded Rum Nation in 1999 to showcase the different rum styles of their countries of origin. As an independent bottler, Rum Nation selects rum from various distilleries. Alongside bottlings from Barbados and Jamaica, its range includes less common rum origins such as Peru and Bougainville.

Mature rum from selected distilleries is brought to Italy for blending and bottling. The emphasis is on the character of the country of origin, so the individual distillery is not named on every bottling. The postage-stamp motifs on the labels also express this connection to origin through their design.
