Special features: Release No. 2 of the Best Drinking Friends, a group of friends that formed during the pandemic through shared live streams. The whiskey aged for five years, four of which were in a first-fill bourbon cask, followed by a NEOC (New Era of Cask) finish. Limited single cask bottling with only 162 bottles, unadulterated, without chill filtration and without colorants.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Soft malt, nutmeg, cedar wood, banana chips, lime zest, and red currants.
- Palate: Grainy-spicy with malt, light warm smoke, dried fruits, intense roasted aromas of cocoa beans and beech nuts, as well as herbal spice notes.
- Finish: Very long-lasting, initially dry, develops a soft, malty, and almost fruity sweetness with a velvety mouthfeel.
Distillery/Bottler: The bottling comes from Ireland and was initiated by the Best Drinking Friends community, which was formed based on shared online tastings and tastings. This group connects passion and knowledge exchange around whiskey, focusing on honest, cask-strength, and high-quality craft spirits.
