Botanist / Islay Dry Gin

Special features: The first Dry Gin from the Isle of Islay impresses with its elaborate production using 22 hand-picked, wild-grown botanicals from Islay as well as nine classic gin ingredients. The lengthy distillation of 17 hours takes place in the specially modified Lomond Still "Ugly Betty", which allows for intense copper contact. The careful harvest over seven months guarantees a pure and complex expression of the unique Hebridean island.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Fresh herbal and floral aromas, accompanied by a fine sea breeze and subtle citrus notes.
  • Palate: Complex with a harmonious balance between floral, spicy, and fruity elements.
  • Finish: Long-lasting with a clear, clean finish and fine spice.

Distillery/Bottler: Bruichladdich on the Scottish Isle of Islay is known for its innovative distillation methods and its connection to the regional nature. Founded in 1881, the distillery follows a philosophy of transparency and quality, which is perfectly reflected in The Botanist. As an original bottling, this gin represents the original flavors and wildness of Islay.
