BrewDog Duo Spiced Rum

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 40% | Chill filtration: No | Colouring: No

Special Features:

Duo Spiced Rum combines BrewDog rum distilled in Ellon with molasses-based Caribbean rum. Ginger, allspice, pineapple, guava and lime are added for flavour, bringing tropical fruit together with spice and citrus freshness.

Orange, lime, sweet vanilla, fiery ginger and spicy cola shape the flavour profile. Bottled at 40% alcohol, it comes in a bottle containing 0.7 litres. For a straightforward long drink, serve it over ice with ginger beer and a splash of lime juice.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, sweet pineapple notes mingle with the warm spice of ginger and allspice.
• Palate: The rum is smooth and balanced on the palate. Pineapple brings sweetness, while ginger and allspice contribute spicy warmth. Guava adds to the tropical fruit character, and lime provides a fresh citrus accent.
• Finish: The long, warm finish leaves lingering fruit and spice. Pineapple, guava and lime remain noticeable.

Distillery/Bottler:

BrewDog Distilling Co. has its Scottish home in Ellon, Aberdeenshire. In 2021, the company opened a new distillery opposite the BrewDog brewery, tripling production output compared with its previous site. Alongside Duo Rum, the spirits portfolio unveiled in 2023 included LoneWolf Gin and Abstrakt Vodka.

With Duo, BrewDog explored different rum styles: alongside Spiced Rum, the range includes a white rum and a caramelised pineapple version. Their shared concept combines the company's own Scottish rum production with Caribbean rum, rather than relying entirely on imported spirits.
