Bud Spencer Feuerwasser combines St. Kilian’s single malt spirit base with cinnamon and chilli. Part of The Legend range, this creation draws on Bud Spencer’s Western roles and contrasts pronounced sweetness with warming heat. The miniature contains 0.05 litres at 33% alcohol.

Its base is an unaged malted barley spirit, distilled twice in Scottish pot stills and enhanced with natural cinnamon and chilli notes. In the glass, the liqueur has a reddish mahogany colour.

The small bottle is ideal for trying the liqueur or as a gift for Bud Spencer fans. Store it in a cool, dark place and consume within six months of opening.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intense cinnamon and vanilla sugar lead the nose. Behind them are chilli powder and a little cardamom, along with baked apple pieces and raisins. A delicate clove note complements the sweet aromas.
• Palate: On the palate, rich vanilla cream sweetness meets plenty of cinnamon and the warmth of chilli flakes. The mouthfeel becomes increasingly oily, while orange and cardamom add fruity and spicy accents.
• Finish: The long finish remains sweet and warming. Chilli, cloves and cardamom linger, accompanied by dry cinnamon and a hint of tobacco leaves.

Distillery/Bottler:

St. Kilian Distillers is based in Rüdenau in the Odenwald. Andreas Thümmler bought the site of a former textile factory there in 2008. Together with Irish whisky expert David F. Hynes, he developed the idea of establishing a distillery; St. Kilian Distillers GmbH was founded in 2012.

Distillation began on St. Patrick’s Day in 2016. The equipment includes two copper stills made by Forsyths, each with a capacity of 6000 litres. In May 2019, the distillery introduced its first three-year-old single malt whisky. Alongside whisky, St. Kilian also makes liqueurs based on new make, the unaged malt spirit.
