Cadenhead's Bunnahabhain 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Special features: This Bunnahabhain version features an intense peat note, enhanced by aging in bourbon casks. Bottling is done without chill filtration or coloring, preserving its authentic character. Bottled by Cadenhead's, the whisky also impresses with its meticulous craftsmanship and limited availability.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Crispy smoked bacon, sea salt and spicy peat smoke.
  • Palate: Creamy Cullen Skink soup, fresh mint leaves and a distinct smokiness.
  • Finish: Maritime flair, smoked tofu and a velvety smooth finish.

Distillery/Bottler: The Bunnahabhain Distillery was founded in 1881 on the northeast coast of Islay by William Robertson and the Greenlees. Due to its remote location, on-site accommodation was built for the employees, giving the site a special character. Bunnahabhain is known for its mostly lightly peated whiskies; this bottling is an exception, presenting a skillful balance between smoke and coastal notes. Cadenhead's, as Scotland's oldest independent bottling company, places great value on authentic and natural products, which is why its products are released without added color or chill filtration.
