Cadenhead's Tullibardine Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Special features: This 12-year-old single malt was initially matured in barrels and then transferred to Palo Cortado sherry casks to further refine its flavors. The finishing gives the whisky a special complexity and depth. The bottling is done without chill filtration and without the addition of coloring agents, which preserves the character of the whisky particularly authentically.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Chocolate and orange combine with sweet syrup and a hint of licorice.
- Palate: Dark chocolate meets maraschino cherries, dried apricots, and mango.
- Finish: Notes of coffee, salted caramel pralines, nutmeg, and a slightly chalky texture round off the taste.
Distillery/Bottler: Made by J & A Mitchell & Co Ltd., known for the Tullibardine Distillery, which is located in the Scottish Highland region. The distillery combines traditional manufacturing methods with modern technology and places value on maturation in selected casks to create characterful whiskies with a regional profile. The bottling is done by Cadenhead’s, Scotland's oldest independent bottler, which has made a name for itself through careful cask selection and limited editions.
