Special features: This Chichibu Single Malt was distilled in 2015 and matured for seven years in a first-fill heavily toasted bourbon cask. Bottled in 2023, it presents itself with a strong alcohol content of 63.3% vol. and a limited edition of only 192 bottles. The bottling is part of the "New Vibrations" series from La Maison du Whisky.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Intense smoke with notes of medicinal Mercurochrome and damp chalk powder.
- Palate: Strong, salty, and peppery, accompanied by flavors of pear candy.
- Finish: Long-lasting with tropical fruits, citrus notes, and a distinctive ash note.
