Compass Box Brulee Royale - Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
Special features: The Compass Box Brûlée Royale is a limited edition inspired by French cuisine. It combines single malts from renowned distilleries such as Clynelish, BenRinnes, Speyburn, and Ardbeg. Aged in heavily charred ex-bourbon barrels made from American white oak, this gives the whisky a special depth and complexity. It was bottled in April 2025 with an alcohol content of 49% vol.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Intense caramel notes, vanilla, burnt sugar, roasted nuts, and fine maltiness, accompanied by a hint of fruity dried aromas.
- Palate: Soft, round, and complex, with flavors of toffee, honey, candied fruits, and delicate spice that flow elegantly together. Crème brûlée and melted sugar transition into gently spicy facets of oak with citrus.
- Finish: Long, smooth, and harmonious, carried by the balanced combination of sweetness, malt, and light oak.
