Special features: This Pure Single Rum comes from the Ecuadorian coastal town of Jipijapa and has been produced for generations by the Carlos Baque Zorrilla family. With an alcohol volume of 60%, it presents itself as a powerful distillate, obtained after just one run in a 500-liter pot still. The slow, five to seven-day fermentation of the fresh juice from the "Cubana Negra" sugarcane variety with natural yeasts ensures intense and complex aromas. The bottling is done in a natural state, without cold filtration or coloring additives.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Bright, herbal notes dominate with pronounced aromas of ripe banana, freshly cut grass, lemon peel, and paprika. The bouquet is complemented by hints of gentian root, sea breeze, forest pine, and freshly baked cornbread.
• Palate: Lush and structured with warm tropical nuances as well as bright accents of fresh pineapple and geranium flowers. Earthy facets like coriander seeds, olive brine, spruce tips, and garden soil add depth.
• Finish: Full and long-lasting, ethereally shaped by cedar wood and camphor. Flavor notes of ginseng root and spicy spices, along with a touch of acacia honey, round off the experience.
