Special features: The Fercullen Single Malt is the first release fully distilled at the Powerscourt Distillery. As a milestone for the distillery, which has been producing on the grounds of the historic Powerscourt House & Gardens in Enniskerry since 2018, this whiskey represents the first legal whiskey from Wicklow in over 100 years. Aged in ex-bourbon casks, it comes in a limited gift box along with an exclusive Fercullen Hip Flask.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Toffee, spicy notes, vanilla, apple, pear, leather, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter crumble
- Palate: Creamy vanilla sauce, gentle wood, salted caramel, and hints of Tarte Tatin
- Finish: Long-lasting with spicy leather aromas, honey almonds, and fruity compote
Distillery/Bottler: The Powerscourt Distillery is a relatively young producer located in Enniskerry, County Wicklow. Since 2018, it has been distilling in the historic setting of the Powerscourt House & Gardens. With this first release, the distillery demonstrates its ability to combine traditional Irish craftsmanship with modern quality, thereby securing a significant place for the whiskey in Wicklow's history.
