Special features: The Fercullen Single Malt is the first bottling distilled entirely at the Powerscourt Distillery. A milestone for the distillery, which has been producing on the grounds of the historic Powerscourt House & Gardens in Enniskerry since 2018, this whiskey represents the first legal whiskey from Wicklow in over 100 years. Matured in ex-bourbon casks, it is presented in a limited-edition gift box along with an exclusive Fercullen hip flask.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Toffee, spicy notes, vanilla, apple, pear, leather, cinnamon, nutmeg and butter crumbles
- Palate: Creamy vanilla sauce, soft wood, salted caramel and hints of tarte tatin
- Finish: Long-lasting with spicy leather aromas, honey almonds and fruity compote
Distillery/Bottler: The Powerscourt Distillery is a relatively new producer located in Enniskerry, County Wicklow. Distilling has been taking place in the historic setting of Powerscourt House & Gardens since 2018. With this first bottling, the distillery demonstrates its ability to combine traditional Irish craftsmanship with modern quality, placing the whiskey at a significant place in Wicklow's history.
