Special Features: This limited Genever from Zuidam was distilled in December 2014 and aged for over ten years in American oak casks. It was bottled in August 2025 in a limited edition of 530 bottles of 1 liter each. The long aging gives this Genever a special depth and complexity.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Rich aromas of fresh lemon, vanilla, and chocolate.
- Palate: Spicy rye, accompanied by fresh notes, chocolate, and orange zest.
- Finish: Medium-long with hints of chocolate and citrus fruits.
Distillery/Bottler: Zuidam Distillers was founded in 1975 by Fred van Zuidam in the Netherlands. Aiming to produce high-quality spirits, the company started with a small copper pot still in a 300 square meter hall. Today, the distillery is run by his sons Patrick and Gilbert and produces on over 3,600 square meters with four copper pot stills. Zuidam places great importance on traditional manufacturing processes and uses only natural raw materials.
