Dark forest fruit aromas complement the herbal base of Hapsburg Quartier Latin Black Fruits. The blend contains distilled wormwood and other herbs and is enhanced with forest fruit flavours. Blackberries and blackcurrants shape its fruity character, while wormwood and fennel provide a bitter counterpoint.

This edition belongs to the Quartier Latin range, which evokes Parisian café and artistic culture. At 53.5%, it has a lower alcohol content than Hapsburg Classic and the X.C range. The dark purple absinthe comes in a 0.5-litre bottle with a colourful café scene on the label. It can be prepared with iced water and sugar, served with a mixer or used as a cocktail ingredient.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intense blackberry and currant aromas lead on the nose. A delicate anise note and characteristic absinthe herbs accompany the dark fruits.
• Palate: The absinthe is full-bodied and layered on the palate. Forest fruit flavours combine with its characteristic bitterness and herbal notes of wormwood and fennel to create a balanced taste.
• Finish: The finish is long and spicy. A pleasantly bitter note accompanies the lingering forest fruit and herbal flavours.

Hapsburg was established in 1999 during the absinthe revival. The company behind the brand is Wine and Spirit International, founded in 1984, which works with various distilleries to produce its spirits. The Hapsburg portfolio combines the herb-led Classic with fruit-flavoured versions. Beyond their different flavours, the ranges also vary considerably in strength: Classic is offered at 72.5%, X.C at 89.9% and Quartier Latin at 53.5%.
