Special Features:

For this raspberry gin liqueur, Applaus combines its Dry Gin with subtly tart wild raspberries. Cinnamon adds a spicy accent to the berry fruit, while juniper maintains the link to the gin base. This special edition is offered here as a 0.05-litre miniature at 20.5% alcohol.

The small bottle also carries the dark blue label with pink raspberry motifs. The liqueur contains no colouring. To taste it, serve it neat at room temperature; combined with dry sparkling wine, it makes a fruity aperitif.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Ripe raspberries meet a restrained juniper aroma on the nose. Honey and cinnamon complement the fruity bouquet.
• Palate: On the palate, raspberry, honey, cinnamon and juniper berries combine with delicate sweetness.
• Finish: Gentle fruitiness lingers on the finish, complemented by a light acidity.

Distillery/Bottler:

Applaus has ties to Stuttgart, while the Brennerei Dr. Dr. Hans-Otto Frey distillery is located in Wolfschlugen, south of the city. The raspberry liqueur is made there. Dr. Dr. Hans Otto Frey and Phillipp Frey draw on their experience with the copper still when developing the Applaus recipes.

Süddeutsche Spirituosen Loge is the company behind the brand. Stefan Büttner, Frederik Dulay-Winkler and Daniel Hammer joined forces to create Applaus Dry Gin. This base gin is made in small batches, largely by hand.
