Crème de Pêche de Vigne takes its character from vineyard peaches grown near the vineyards of the Hautes Côtes de Bourgogne. Their white flesh, marbled with pink, provides the foundation for the liqueur’s pronounced peach flavour and rounded texture. Joseph Cartron uses fruit harvested at full ripeness for its fruit crèmes, balancing fruit, alcohol and sugar.

In the glass, the liqueur is clear and golden yellow. It contains 18% alcohol and is offered here in a bottle containing 0.7 litres. Its peach character lends itself to cocktails; the fruit crème can also complement desserts and pastries.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose offers a clear, open aroma of fresh peaches. Impressions of peach skin and fruit stones mingle with delicate tannic notes and floral fragrance.
• Palate: On the palate, the liqueur is rounded, soft and full-bodied. Ripe peach flesh combines with subtle sweetness and fragrant floral notes; the distinct fruit remains perceptible on the exhale.
• Finish: Aromas of ripe peach and flowers linger in the sweet finish. The aromatic persistence lasts approximately 10 to 15 seconds.

Distillery/Bottler:

Joseph Cartron has been rooted in Nuits-Saint-Georges in Burgundy since 1882. Over five generations, the house has passed down its expertise in liqueurs, fruit crèmes and spirits. Selecting suitable fruit varieties plays a central role: alongside vineyard peaches, Cartron uses, for example, Noir de Bourgogne blackcurrants and Lloyd George and Héritage raspberries.

For its fruit liqueurs, Cartron macerates ripe fruit in neutral alcohol in stainless steel tanks. During this process, the fruit aromas pass into the alcohol. The duration is tailored to each fruit rather than being fixed for every recipe. Each recipe also has its own ratio of fruit, alcohol and sugar.
