Special Features:

Pinot Noir from Ortenau in Baden provides the wine base for this red vermouth. Locally grown wormwood complements the grapes, while the cardamom and cinnamon bark come from outside the Black Forest. No additional sugar is used in production, allowing the character of the base wine to remain an essential part of the aromatic composition.

This deep-red vermouth is chill-filtered and bottled without colouring at 17% alcohol in 0.75-litre bottles. Its fruity, spicy character lends itself both to drinking neat and to classic cocktails. Serve it lightly chilled or over ice with orange zest; in a Negroni or Manhattan, it contributes wine fruit and herbal spice.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals pomegranate, blackberries, raspberries and fresh sour cherries. Cardamom and wormwood emerge behind the fruit, accompanied by a subtle vanilla note.
• Palate: On the palate, juicy berries and damsons combine with the bitter aromatics of wormwood and cinchona bark. Cardamom adds spice, while lively wine acidity provides a fresh counterpoint.
• Finish: Pomegranate and young plums remain present on the finish. Cinnamon, cardamom and a delicate lavender note accompany the fading fruit.

Distillery/Bottler:

GrapeDiggaz was established in January 2022 as a joint project between Wu DRAM Clan and Kirsch Import. The brand focuses on wine and brandy, beginning with independently bottled Cognacs and Armagnacs. For its vermouths, the team works with a family business in the Kinzig Valley that produces wine, liqueurs and fine fruit spirits. This business supplies the wines and brandies used. The collaboration combines regional grapes and herbs with cardamom and cinnamon bark from other regions.
