Special Features:

Riesling from Baden forms the base of this white vermouth. The wormwood also comes from the region, while orange peel and cloves complement the recipe as non-local ingredients. No extra sugar is added. The vermouth is chill-filtered and bottled at 17% alcohol in 0.75-litre bottles.

Its pronounced fruitiness and Riesling acidity meet herbal spice and floral accents. Enjoy it well chilled, neat or over ice, with tonic water or as an ingredient in a Bamboo cocktail.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Riesling is clearly recognisable on the nose. Mirabelle plums, elderberries, green apple and rosehip combine with subtle hints of white grapefruit and blood orange. Delicate grape and white tea notes round out the bouquet. As the temperature rises, light blossom honey and an occasional touch of sage emerge.
• Palate: Delicate blossom honey, lemongrass and rosehip tea lead the way, accompanied by white grapefruit peel, green apple, a little pear and elderflower. Lightly candied ginger brings barely any heat. After a few seconds, white tea appears again; rosewater, a hint of mango and an impression of a flowering meadow complete the palate.
• Finish: Gooseberries, lemon balm, elderberries and grapefruit linger on the finish. Fresh grapes and green apple are accompanied by a delicate vanilla note.

Distillery/Bottler:

GrapeDiggaz began in January 2022 as a joint project between the Wu DRAM Clan and Kirsch Import. Initially focused on independently bottled Cognacs and Armagnacs, the range expanded in 2023 with a red and a white vermouth. For these, the brand works with a family business in the Kinzig valley in the Black Forest that produces wine, liqueurs and fruit spirits. The wines and distilled spirits used come from this business. The partnership focuses on the character of regional grape varieties and on using as many local ingredients as possible.
