For a classic Pimm's Cup, mix one part Pimm's No.1 with three parts lemonade over plenty of ice. Garnish with cucumber, strawberries, lemon and mint. Ginger ale makes a spicier alternative.

The story of Pimm's begins with James Pimm and his London oyster bar. Around 1840, he developed the No.1 Cup there as a house drink to accompany oysters. That mixture grew into a brand whose secret recipe remains gin-based to this day. Pimm's is part of Diageo's liqueur portfolio.

The connection with the Wimbledon tennis tournament dates back to 1971. Together with the traditional preparation using lemonade and fruit, this association has made Pimm's an established part of British summer drinking culture.
