Special Features:

Takamaka Koko brings together white rum and natural coconut extract. It belongs to the Seychelles Series, whose rum is made from molasses in a continuously operating distillation column and brought to drinking strength with the distillery’s own spring water. Coconut flavouring complements this base to create a rum liqueur with 25% alcohol.

Delicate vanilla accompanies its creamy coconut character, while subtle tropical fruit notes emerge in the finish. It can be served over ice or mixed with pineapple juice for a straightforward take on a Piña Colada.

Distillery/Bottler:

Trois Frères Distillery stands on the La Plaine St André estate on the east coast of Mahé. Richard and Bernard d’Offay opened the distillery in February 2002. Their inspiration came from the family tradition of Rum Arrangé: their grandfather René Michel d’Offay infused alcohol with fruit, spices and other botanical ingredients. Bernard and his father Robert began experimenting with distillation in 2000, before Richard joined them.

For its molasses rums, the distillery sources its raw material from the Indian Ocean region, as the Seychelles has no local sugar industry. It dilutes the molasses with its own spring water and ferments it for three and a half days before distillation in a multi-column system. The distillery also processes locally grown sugar cane to produce distinct sugar cane juice rums.
