Special Features:

This Bas-Armagnac comes from the 1985 vintage at Domaine du Pin in Labastide-d'Armagnac. Monique Destribats produced it from equal proportions of Baco and Colombard, with the wine continuously distilled to 60%. The spirit then matured for forty years in a 420-litre oak cask.

Darroze bottled the Armagnac from a single cask in January 2025 at its natural cask strength of 40%. In the Unique Collection, estates and vintages remain separate, and the spirits are not diluted with water to a lower drinking strength. Candied orange peel, nougat, gingerbread and acacia honey mingle with liquorice, vanilla and fresh tobacco. Despite its long maturation, the Armagnac remains fresh and velvety on the palate.

Distillery/Bottler:

Monique Destribats produced this vintage at Domaine du Pin; Darroze took charge of maturation and bottling. In the late 1960s, Francis Darroze began selecting individual Armagnacs from small estates. His son Marc has worked at the house since 1994 and continues to manage its stocks in the cellars at Roquefort and Labastide-d'Armagnac. Darroze works with both mature spirits and young distillates from small producers and mobile distillers. Maturing them separately preserves the character of each estate and vintage.
