This vintage Armagnac from Domaine de Baraillon matured in cask for 15 years. Distilled in 2009, it was bottled on 18 June 2024. Ripe fruit and spice define its character.

The Armagnac contains no added colouring and comes at 46% in a 0.7-litre bottle. A wooden box is included.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intense fruit aromas of peach, apricot and mango lead on the nose. Cinnamon and vanilla complement the bouquet.
• Palate: Sweet, ripe fruit combines with spicy notes on the palate. The Armagnac is full-bodied.
• Finish: The long finish reveals slight dryness, subtle bitterness and spicy nuances.

Distillery/Bottler:

Domaine de Baraillon is located in Lannemaignan in Bas-Armagnac, on the border between Gers and Landes. The same family has managed the estate since 1748; today, SCEA Claverie runs the business. Its 20 hectares of vineyards grow on sandy clay soils, known locally as Sables fauves. The grape varieties include Folle Blanche, Colombard and Baco.

The estate distils its Armagnacs to a strength of around 52% and matures them in casks made from local oak in its historic cellars. Winegrowing, distillation and maturation thus form an integrated process within this family business.
