Special Features:

This anniversary release from Benromach comes from a single first-fill bourbon barrel. Distilled on 6 June 2005, the whisky matured for 21 years in cask no. 343 before being bottled on 13 July 2026 to mark the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import. The cask yielded 178 bottles.

This release combines bourbon-cask maturation with a subtle smoky note. Its aromas move from Seville oranges to tropical fruit and black pepper, followed by gentle smoke. On the palate, creamy vanilla complements the fruity, spicy character, while the finish is dry and oak-led.

The single malt was bottled at 57.5% without chill filtration or added colouring. The bottle contains 0.7 litres and comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals juicy oranges and bright-toned tropical fruit notes. A hint of pepper and gentle smoke accompany the aromas.
• Palate: On the palate, fruity sweetness, creamy vanilla and ripe citrus notes combine with spicy accents and well-integrated cask influence.
• Finish: The long finish is dry, leaving oak, mild spice and a subtle smoky note.

Distillery/Bottler:

Founded in 1898, Benromach is located in Forres, in Scotland’s Speyside region. A small team guides production using its senses and experience. Maturation in first-fill casks and a restrained smoky character are part of the distillery’s traditional house style.

The hands-on approach extends to cask storage: casks are filled by hand, weighed individually and marked using stencils. The whisky then matures in traditional dunnage warehouses. These low-rise warehouses are as much a part of Benromach’s working methods as its deliberate focus on first-fill casks.
