This Spirit of Yorkshire was distilled in 2017, matured for nine years and finished in a Moscatel cask. Berry Bros. & Rudd bottled cask 2231 in 2026 at 57.1%. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.
Apricot skin, raspberry jam and orange oil provide the fruity opening, complemented by pineapple and ripe peach. Honey, ginger and a delicate chocolate note form the darker counterpoint.

Distillery/Bottler:
The family-run Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery uses barley from its own farm and its own water. Its distillation setup combines Forsyth pot stills with a four-plate copper column. The first casks were filled in 2016, and Filey Bay was released in 2019 as the first Yorkshire single malt.
Berry Bros. & Rudd is the independent bottler behind this release. The company’s history on London’s St James’s Street dates back to 1698, and its own cask bottlings have been documented since at least 1853.
