Special Features:

This nine-year-old Danish single malt was distilled in 2016 from peated Odyssey barley. The whisky from cask 67 was initially matured in an ex-bourbon cask before receiving a short finish in an ex-Oloroso hogshead; Berry Bros. & Rudd bottled it at 54.5%.

The bottling is part of the 2026 Odyssey collection, The Auld & The Bold. The edition brings together 20 single-cask bottlings from the same number of distilleries, juxtaposing classic Scottish whisky traditions with younger distilleries from various countries.

The whisky is available in a 0.7-litre bottle and was bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals dried apricot, orange peel, chocolate and sweets with fruit-salad flavours, threaded with gentle, aromatic smoke.
• Palate: The smoke remains soft on the palate, while the oily, full-bodied texture carries roasted herbs, savoury meaty notes and sweetness from vanilla and caramel.
• Finish: The finish unfolds slowly: soft caramel appears first, followed by deeper notes of toasted oak.

Distillery/Bottler:

Thy Whisky operates as a fully organic single-estate producer on the Gyrup family estate in Thy, north-western Denmark. The grain for its whiskies is grown across the estate’s approximately 500 hectares, while both the maltings and distillery are also located on the farm.

Berry Bros. & Rudd is a family-run wine and spirits merchant based in London’s St James’s since 1698. Its oldest surviving proprietary Scotch cask bottling dates from 1853. For this Thy whisky, Berry Bros. & Rudd acts as the independent bottler and selected cask 67 for its 2026 Odyssey collection.
