Special Features:

The Miami Polo Edition is the first Royal Salute release to be finished entirely in first-fill rye and first-fill bourbon casks. Introduced in 2024, it is the sixth edition in the Polo Collection. Master Blender Sandy Hyslop composed it from Scotch whiskies each aged for at least 21 years. The bourbon casks contribute vanilla and coconut, while the rye casks bring gentle spice.

On the nose, ripe pear and honey blossom mingle with vanilla pastries, white chocolate, marzipan and a hint of cinnamon. The palate opens with apricot, pear sweets and coconut alongside milk chocolate, followed by lemon cream and a suggestion of ginger biscuits. The pink bottle draws on Miami’s Art Deco architecture. The whisky comes in a premium box.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Ripe pear and honey blossom sit alongside vanilla pastries, white chocolate and marzipan, with a delicate accent of cinnamon.
• Palate: Sweet apricot, pear sweets and coconut mingle with milk chocolate on the palate. Lemon cream and a hint of ginger biscuits follow.
• Finish: The finish is sweet and silky, with lingering coconut and gentle spice.

Distillery/Bottler:

Chivas Brothers created Royal Salute in 1953 to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Its name recalls the 21-gun salute, and the brand’s blends use only whiskies aged for at least 21 years. Strathisla is Royal Salute’s historic home: whisky from the distillery was part of the first blend. Today, Master Blender Sandy Hyslop selects whiskies for new blends from cask stocks built up over many years. Chivas Brothers belongs to Pernod Ricard.
