GrapeDiggaz - Cognac VSOP
Title
54.14 CHF
Volume: 0.7 liters | Alcohol content: 46.3% | Non-chill-filtered | No coloring
Palate: Honey and ripe mirabelle plums, apple fritters, vanilla, powdered sugar, malt, pastries, grassy and fresh.
Finish: Long and very fruity and green towards the end. A perfect Blanc de Blancs.
The dowsing rods are focused on 100 percent transparency and additive-free bottlings, as well as an attractive offer for you as a retailer. In addition to distillates of the highest quality, adequate quantities and an excellent price-performance ratio are also driving forces in the treasure hunt.
Initially known for single casks, GrapeDiggaz have now laid the complete foundation of their core range with two Cognacs, an Armagnac, and a red and a white vermouth.
Cognac – everyone probably knows the term, but few know the spirit behind it. This traditional French brandy is something of an underdog. This is surprising, because cognac broadens the horizons of its aromas and easily competes with single malt whiskeys and the like in terms of complexity.
The GrapeDiggaz showcase the potential of the category with two cognacs from the innovative yet established Vallein Tercinier house. The family business developed its own recipes for the core cognac range.
The GrapeDiggaz Cognac XO blends distillates aged up to 25 years from various crus, particularly Fins Bois, Bons Bois, and Grande Champagne. Leather, spices, tobacco, chocolate, and peach unfold at a slightly higher strength.
The same applies to the GrapeDiggaz Cognac VSOP: At 46.3% ABV, it displays a fruity top note reminiscent of a young Highland malt. Fresh green apples, pears, and grapes blend harmoniously with malt and honey.
The 4 to 10 year old VSOP is also an assemblage of different Crus, with the Bons Bois setting the tone.
