Special Features:

Splitköm brings together tropical fruit and cream. Passion fruit and orange shape its flavour, with a delicate vanilla note complementing the fruit. Cream gives it a soft, velvety texture. Ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin forms the alcohol base; its restrained flavour leaves room for the fruit and vanilla notes. The liqueur is made in small batches and contains neither eggs nor gluten, but the cream means it is not lactose-free.

The bottle contains 0.5 litres at 16% alcohol. Well chilled, Splitköm can be enjoyed neat or over ice, used in cocktails or added to desserts. The design is also part of the concept: the frosted bottle features an illustration by Volker Nökel.

Splitköm should be stored in a cool, dark place and consumed within 1 year. Once opened, it can be kept in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 months. If the ingredients settle, the bottle can be brought to room temperature and shaken vigorously to blend the liqueur evenly again.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Passion fruit and orange are clearly perceptible on the nose, accompanied by a creamy sweetness.
• Palate: The liqueur feels soft and rounded on the palate. Tropical fruit combines with pleasant sweetness and a gentle, creamy texture.
• Finish: The finish is gentle, with fruity freshness lingering briefly on the palate.

Distillery/Bottler:

Spitzmund has its roots in Kiel's bar scene. Founder Andreas Werner spent many years developing his own cocktails there; his experience with the interplay of flavours became the foundation for the brand's own spirits recipes in 2013. The brand works in small batches, and its range includes egg liqueurs, cream liqueurs and other liqueurs.

Author, comic artist and illustrator Volker Nökel contributes to the liqueurs' visual identity. The collaboration began with the design of the Klötenköm bottle. His illustrations also feature on Vanilleköm, Karamellköm and Splitköm.
