This Bas-Armagnac presents the 2006 vintage from a single estate after twenty years of maturation in oak. Darroze bottled it in 2026 for the Unique Collection. Within this range, estates and vintages remain separate: the Armagnac is neither blended with spirits from other origins nor diluted with water before bottling. Its 49.5% therefore represents its natural cask strength; no colouring is added.

Ripe dried fruit leads the flavour profile, supported by restrained liquorice, nuts and delicate spices. The long finish brings together gentle fruit and wood notes. The small bottle contains 0.2 litres and comes in a black gift box with a cream-coloured label.

• Nose: Ripe dried fruit is pronounced on the nose. A subtle liquorice note adds to the bouquet.
• Palate: Nutty flavours and delicate spices are balanced on the palate.
• Finish: The finish lingers, fading with gentle fruit and wood notes.

Distillery/Bottler:

At Domaine de Poutëou in Bas-Armagnac, five generations of the Tarbe family have tended their vines, distilled the wines made from them and matured their Armagnacs on the estate. Alongside their traditional Armagnacs, predominantly based on Baco, the family has been producing Folle Blanche separately for around thirty years.

For the Unique Collection, Darroze selects Armagnacs from individual estates, oversees their maturation and bottles them. The idea began in the 1960s, when Francis Darroze selected Armagnacs directly from casks for the family restaurant, highlighting their origin and vintage. This developed into a collection focused on the individuality of each estate and vintage rather than a consistent house style.
