Special Features:

This vintage Armagnac preserves the character of a single estate through five decades of maturation. It comes from Domaine du Pin in Bas-Armagnac and belongs to Darroze’s Unique Collection. Neither different estates nor different vintages are blended within this range. No dilution is used to reduce the alcohol content either.

The Armagnac was produced in 1976 by continuous distillation in a single pass, then matured for 50 years in oak casks. It was bottled in March 2026 at its natural strength of 44%, without colouring. The small bottle contains 0.2 litres and comes in a black gift box.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose offers intense candied fruit alongside coffee and cocoa. A light spiciness complements these aromas.
• Palate: The Armagnac feels rich and silky on the palate. Vanilla and nuts mingle with a hint of tobacco.
• Finish: The long, harmonious finish leaves lingering fruity notes and a subtle nuttiness.

Distillery/Bottler:

The history of Darroze begins with Jean Darroze’s restaurant in Villeneuve-de-Marsan. There, his son Francis discovered the wines and spirits of Gascony alongside its regional cuisine. From the late 1960s, Francis increasingly sought out Armagnacs from small estates in Bas-Armagnac, selecting them and overseeing their maturation to build the house’s collection.

Marc Darroze joined the business in 1994 and now heads the house. The selection includes both old cask stocks and young spirits from small producers and itinerant distillers. Their further maturation is overseen in the cellars of Roquefort and Labastide d’Armagnac. Keeping estates and vintages separate places the origin of each Armagnac at the heart of the Unique Collection.
