Aultmore Barrel Head
Features: This original barrel head comes from the renowned Aultmore whisky distillery in the Scottish Speyside. The associated barrel was last filled in 1949, thus representing over seven decades of whisky history. To ensure the highest quality, the head was carefully selected and lovingly handcrafted by experienced carpenters. It is excellent as a decorative highlight in any room or as an exclusive table.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: A hint of old oak wood, accompanied by subtle notes of dried fruits and a light touch of smoke.
- Palate: Gentle aromas of caramelized sugar and spices, reminiscent of the whisky's maturation in the barrel.
- Finish: A long-lasting, spicy aftertaste with a subtle hint of vanilla and tobacco.
Distillery/Bottler: The Aultmore Distillery was founded in 1896 by Alexander Edward and is located in the picturesque region of Speyside in Scotland. Known for its high-quality single malts, which are often used in blends, the distillery has a long tradition in whisky production. The name "Aultmore" derives from the Gaelic "An t-Allt Mòr," which means "big stream" and refers to the distillery's water source, the Auchinderran Burn.
