This single-cask bottling presents Aberfeldy after 29 years of full maturation in Bourbon Hogshead 7432. The whisky was distilled on 25 November 1991; Artful Dodger bottled it on 25 May 2021 at 46%, yielding 269 bottles of 0.5 litres each. It is non-chill-filtered and contains no colouring.

Coconut, shortbread and stewed citrus fruit meet honey, ripe apple and peach. Subtle notes of vanilla and caramel, delicate herbs, ginger, cinnamon and mild wood spice add further dimensions to its fruity, sweet character.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, intense notes of honey mingle with ripe peach and apple, while vanilla and caramel remain subtle.
• Palate: The whisky is full-bodied and balanced on the palate. Honeyed sweetness combines with delicate herbs and mild wood spice.
• Finish: The finish is long, sweet and spicy.

Distillery/Bottler:

Aberfeldy Distillery began production in 1898. John Dewar’s sons built the distillery to supply the character-defining malt for Dewar’s blends. In 1972, the stillhouse was expanded from two to four stills.

Sebastian Woolf founded Artful Dodger Whisky in Brighton in 2018, and the company belongs to Woolf Drinks. The independent bottler primarily releases single-cask bottlings. For this Aberfeldy, Artful Dodger selected Bourbon Hogshead 7432 and bottled the whisky drawn from it.
