Edradour 21 y.o. - Sherry Finish
Special features: This 21-year-old single malt whisky from the Edradour Distillery was initially matured in refill ex-bourbon hogsheads and subsequently refined in fresh Oloroso sherry butts. This combination gives the whisky a complex depth and elegant sherry notes. Bottled at cask strength and without chill filtration or colorants, this whisky presents itself in its purest form.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Fruity and nutty aromas with hints of dried fruits and spicy sherry.
Palate: Full-bodied with notes of dark chocolate, oak, and a touch of vanilla.
Finish: Long-lasting, warm, and slightly dry with a fine sherry sweetness.
Distillery/Bottler: The Edradour Distillery, founded in 1825, is idyllically located in the Scottish Highlands near Pitlochry. It is considered one of the smallest traditional distilleries in Scotland and is known for its artisanal production methods and the use of small copper pot stills. Since 2002, Edradour has been owned by Andrew Symington, the founder of the independent bottler Signatory Vintage.
