Special Features:

This 29-year-old Fettercairn is a single-cask bottling from the Symington's Choice series. The whisky was distilled on 25 October 1995 and matured in Hogshead #2824 until 9 October 2025. Signatory Vintage bottled it at its natural cask strength of 59.8%, with an outturn of 211 bottles. The bottling retains its natural colour and was not chill-filtered.

Tropical fruit and vanilla meet creamy malt, nuts and delicate spices. An oily, waxy texture adds depth to this fruity, spicy profile, while the oak remains elegantly integrated.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose offers honeyed malt, mango, apricot and vanilla, accompanied by gentle oak and a delicate floral accent.
• Palate: On the palate, tropical fruits, toffee, toasted almonds and spicy oak combine with a creamy malt sweetness.
• Finish: The finish is long and elegant, with fruit and vanilla lingering alongside warming oak spice.

Distillery/Bottler:

Fettercairn lies at the foot of the Cairngorms and was founded by Sir Alexander Ramsay in 1824. Since the mid-1950s, the distillery has used a distinctive cooling ring that runs mountain water over the copper stills. The increased condensation inside allows primarily lighter vapours to continue rising, contributing to the distillery's tropical house style.

Signatory Vintage is an independent bottler that works with individually selected distillery casks. For Symington's Choice, founder Andrew Symington personally selects rare casks from an inventory of more than 10,000 casks. For this bottling, he chose the single Fettercairn Hogshead #2824, whose whisky Signatory Vintage bottled after 29 years.
