Special features: This blended malt is part of the growing core range of Elements of Islay. The composition combines Islay whiskies from various active and partially dormant distilleries on the island. The rich cask maturation in first fill and refill sherry butts as well as hogsheads gives the whisky an intense aroma of dark chocolate and dried fruits. With a robust alcohol content of 54.5% vol. and the avoidance of chill filtration and coloring, the whisky offers an unadulterated tasting experience.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Notes of tobacco from an empty sandalwood cigar box, accompanied by the maritime-smoky aroma of an Arbroath Smokie, complemented by lemon oil, ginger root, and a hint of menthol.
• Palate: Lush and smooth with a smoky base note. Flavor experiences of dark chocolate with candied orange slices, candied ginger, and muscovado sugar syrup reminiscent of ginger cake with dates. Sweet peat smoke and dried autumn fruits complete the palate.
• Finish: Long and sweet aftertaste with syrup toffee, smoky black tea, and dark sugar, developing into a full-bodied spicy finale.
