Etsu Double Yuzu Japanese Gin New Packaging
Special features: The Etsu Double Yuzu Gin is produced at the Akita Distillery on the island of Honshū in Japan. This gin is characterized by a seven-day maceration of traditional botanicals, including Japanese yuzu, juniper berries, licorice root, angelica root, coriander seeds, and matcha tea. After maceration, distillation occurs without the botanicals to refine the flavors and add elegance. Pure spring water from the Ōu Mountains is used, giving the gin purity and freshness.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Fresh yuzu and lemon notes.
- Palate: Lively and refreshing, with the full duality of Japanese yuzu between zesty liveliness and elegant sweetness.
- Finish: Round and smooth, leaving a long-lasting, citrus-fresh note.
Distillery/Bottler: The Akita Distillery is located in Akita Prefecture on the island of Honshū, Japan. It lies on the coast of the Sea of Japan and extends to the Ōu Mountains, the longest mountain range in Japan. This geographical location significantly influences the quality and character of the gin produced there.
