Special Features:

Fresh blackberries and honey give this gin its sweet, fruity character. They are added to the distilled Edinburgh Gin Classic for infusion. Bramble & Honey thus combines the base gin’s juniper notes with full dark berry fruit and a silky honey note.

Produced in small batches from grain alcohol, this gin is bottled at 40% in bottles containing 0.7 litres. It can be enjoyed neat or with a light tonic, and also features as an ingredient in a warming Bramble mulled wine.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Rich dark berry aromas mingle with distinct juniper notes on the nose.
• Palate: The palate offers full, sweet berry fruit with floral honey. Classic juniper balances the fruity sweetness, while the mouthfeel remains soft.
• Finish: A rich honey note remains on the soft finish, its fullness lingering at length.

Distillery/Bottler:

Alex and Jane Nicol founded Edinburgh Gin in 2010 and sold their first gins directly from a van at local gardening events. At Rutland Place, the distillery operated two small stills, Flora and Caledonia. Growing demand led to a second distillery opening in Leith in 2016.

For its London Dry gins, the distillery combines traditional copper-pot distillation with vapour infusion: juniper and coriander are processed using the conventional method, while lighter botanicals release their aromas through the vapour. The team also experiments with new ingredients and flavour combinations. This approach underpins the range; for Bramble & Honey, a subsequent infusion of fruit and honey complements the distilled base gin.
