Special features: The name "Etsu" means "pleasure" in Japanese and reflects the philosophy of this gin. Made at the Asahikawa Distillery on the northern island of Hokkaido, this gin combines traditional Japanese botanicals such as Yuzu, Sansho pepper, and a secret tea blend. The maceration of the botanicals takes place over 24 hours in neutral sugarcane distillate, followed by distillation in a copper pot still with a swan neck. After distillation, the product is brought to drinking strength with pure water from the Taisetsu Mountains and filtered through charcoal for optimal purity.
