Special Features:

Jaisalmer combines classic juniper aromas with a selection of Indian botanicals. Seven of its eleven ingredients come from India: vetiver, Darjeeling green tea, lemongrass, coriander, cubeb pepper, orange peel and lemon peel. Angelica root, liquorice, caraway and juniper complete the recipe.

The base is a triple-distilled neutral grain spirit, which is distilled again with the botanicals in a traditional copper pot still. Alongside juniper and citrus, the gin reveals floral notes and a lightly anise-like spiciness. It is bottled at 43% alcohol.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Juniper and citrus peel mingle with aromatic spices and tea notes on the nose.
• Palate: Abundant pine-like juniper leads on the palate, complemented by orange, lemon and spices.
• Finish: The long, dry finish reveals tea, coriander seeds and the peppery spice of cubeb. Sweet citrus notes also linger.

Distillery/Bottler:

Jaisalmer is produced by Radico Khaitan Limited. The company's roots date back to 1943, and it operates the Rampur Distillery in Uttar Pradesh in northern India. The gin is distilled and bottled there in small batches. Jaisalmer joined the company's range in 2018, alongside its Rampur Single Malt whiskies.

The name refers to the city of Jaisalmer in Rajasthan's Thar Desert. This former trading city is known for its extensive fortress complex. The black bottle depicts the fortress and a blackbuck antelope, referencing Jaisalmer's historic coat of arms.
