Special Features:

Rammstein Schwarz brings pronounced berry aromas to a classic gin base. Juniper, coriander seeds, angelica root, lemongrass and cardamom form its foundation. Elderberries and raspberry and blueberry flavourings complete the recipe and shape its fruity character.

This dark gin changes colour when mixed, giving gin and tonic or cocktails a violet hue. A mild or fruity tonic complements its combination of berries and spice. It is bottled at 40% alcohol in a bottle containing 0.7 litres.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Blueberries and raspberries define the lively nose. A hint of lemon brightens the fruit, while juniper remains subtly in the background.
• Palate: The gin feels soft and mouth-filling on the palate. Sweet berries combine with cardamom and juniper, leading into a spicy finish.
• Finish: Spice takes the lead on the finish as the fruity notes recede.

Distillery/Bottler:

The gin comes from the Dutch distillery Onder de Boompjes in Schiedam. Its history can be traced back to Leiden, and it has borne the name Onder de Boompjes since 1710. In 2019, the company acquired the bottling and packaging business Packfill BV and renamed it ODB Beverages. Alongside distilling gin, genever and whisky, the company develops recipes for other brands and also offers blending and bottling services.

The spirits range is a collaboration between Rammstein and the Danish company 1423 ApS. 1423 sources the spirits, while the band itself takes part in their selection. The range forms part of the official Rammstein merchandise. The name 1423 comes from the sample number of a rum blend that the founders bottled in November 2008 as their first own release.
