This miniature set explores the different ways THE DUKE combines juniper with Bavarian botanicals. It contains Munich Dry Gin at 45%, Rough Gin at 42% and Wanderlust Gin at 47%, each in a 0.05-litre bottle. The three organic gins come in gift packaging decorated with botanical illustrations and a Bavarian diamond pattern.

Munich Dry Gin is based on a recipe featuring 13 organically grown botanicals. Juniper, lemon, spice and floral impressions shape its classic character, while hop flowers and malt connect it to Munich's brewing tradition. Other ingredients include coriander, angelica root, lavender, ginger and orange blossom.

Rough Gin concentrates its recipe on five botanicals. Bold juniper takes centre stage, accompanied by coriander and the freshness of orange peel. Hop flowers and malt provide a gentle rounding touch. The hops for this recipe come from the Hallertau region and the malt from Bamberg.

Wanderlust Gin broadens the range with a floral, fruity character drawn from 20 botanicals. Edelweiss, cornflower, common poppy, arnica and rose blossoms contribute a delicate honey impression, while raspberries provide a distinctly fruity note. Cocoa beans give it body, and a hint of cocoa also appears on the nose. Juniper, hops and malt are part of this recipe too.

Distillery/Bottler:

THE DUKE began in Munich in 2008 and now produces its spirits at the Gläserne Manufaktur in Aschheim near Munich. The name recalls Duke Henry the Lion, the founder of Munich. The three gins are made in small batches in copper stills, then bottled and labelled by hand.

For Munich Dry Gin, the botanicals macerate overnight in a mixture of alcohol and water to release their aromas. Slow distillation then follows in two stages: a stripping run and a spirit run. The team even prepares the lemon peel by hand. Organically grown herbs and spices, together with the recurring combination of hop flowers and malt, link the distillery's different recipes.
