Special Features:

Ten years of maturation in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks define this Korenwijn. For Special No. 41, Zuidam used a spirit distilled from malted barley, maize and rye. The PX cask influence brings together sultanas, honey and chocolate with fruity orange notes.

Zuidam distilled the genever on 12 August 2015 and bottled it on 30 November 2025. This limited edition comprises 852 bottles, each containing 1 litre. The genever has no added colouring, is non-chill-filtered and has an alcohol content of 38%.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, honey and dried fruit mingle with liquorice. Subtle hints of chocolate and orange complement the bouquet.
• Palate: The genever is delicate and fruity on the palate. Orange and sultanas meet honey and chocolate, while creamy honey accents complement the mouthfeel.
• Finish: Orange and plums remain present on the finish, accompanied by a subtle chocolate note.

Distillery/Bottler:

Zuidam Distillers is a family-run business established in 1975 in Baarle-Nassau in the Netherlands. Fred van Zuidam and his son Patrick are responsible for the recipes. The distillery produces its distillates and extracts within the family business and processes them further on site. Alongside genever, its range includes gin, liqueurs and whisky.

Zuidam uses copper pot stills for distillation. Production is based on natural ingredients, without artificial fragrances, colourings or flavourings. This approach gives the company's different spirits a shared philosophy of raw materials.
