Glen Breton 10 y.o. Single Malt 43%

Special features: This Canadian single malt comes from the Glenora Distillery in Nova Scotia, the first single malt distillery in North America. It is aged in American white oak barrels in warehouses surrounded by apple trees – an influence that is clearly reflected in the diverse aromas.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Orange, spices, chocolate, honey, and vanilla with fine nuances of tobacco, maple, and cherry.
  • Palate: Fruity notes paired with chocolate, hazelnut, maple syrup, and cherry.
  • Finish: Long and smooth with a pleasantly fresh touch of apple and ginger.

Distillery/Bottler: The Glenora Distillery on Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, was founded in 1990 and is considered the first single malt distillery in North America. Inspired by the Scottish distilling tradition and equipped with copper pot stills from Scotland, it produces whiskies with a unique combination of Canadian and Scottish heritage. Cape Breton Island is known for its Gaelic culture, shaped by Scottish immigrants.
