Special Features:

This single-cask bottling matured for 31 years in refill American hogshead number 552053. Auchroisk distilled the Speyside single malt in 1993; Gordon & MacPhail bottled the whisky on 23 April 2025 for the Connoisseurs Choice range at its natural cask strength of 49.7%. The cask yielded 137 bottles.

The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. A premium box completes this limited bottling.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, waxy citrus peel, apricot and nectarine combine with honey and coconut. A delicate note of vanilla complements the aroma.
• Palate: The whisky is full-bodied and fruit-forward on the palate, with banana, apple and peach. Black pepper, oak and dark caramel add spicy and sweet accents.
• Finish: The finish remains long, clean and balanced, with lively garden mint lingering persistently.

Distillery/Bottler:

Auchroisk Distillery stands on elevated ground between Rothes and Dufftown beside the Burn of Mulben, which flows into the River Spey. For this release, Gordon & MacPhail managed the whisky’s cask maturation and bottling as an independent bottler.

Gordon & MacPhail began as a grocery and spirits merchant in Speyside in 1895 and developed particular expertise in selecting and maturing single malts over extended periods across several generations. George Urquhart introduced Connoisseurs Choice in 1968 to make whiskies from different Scottish distilleries available as single malts; today, the range also includes bottlings at cask strength.
