Special Features:

This 38-year-old Glenburgie matured entirely in refill American Hogshead #10307. Gordon & MacPhail bottled the whisky on 24 April 2025 as a single-cask release in the Connoisseurs Choice series at a cask strength of 57.9%. The release is limited to just 118 bottles.

The whisky is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring. Its character combines ripe apple fruit with peppery spice, mature oak and a fresh mint note in the finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Ripe red apples take centre stage on the nose, underpinned by vanilla cream and a hint of cocoa powder.
• Palate: The whisky is smooth yet peppery on the palate. Apple and ripe blueberry give way to zesty lime and mature oak.
• Finish: The finish is medium in length, with fresh mint and gentle oak shaping the aftertaste.

Distillery/Bottler:

Spirit first flowed from the stills at Glenburgie in 1829, when the distillery was still known as Kilnflat. The distillery, located near Alves in Speyside, has borne its present name since 1878.

George Urquhart created Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice in 1968. Since then, the range has encompassed more than 2,000 releases from almost 100 Scottish distilleries; Gordon & MacPhail selects, matures and bottles the whiskies for the series. The company released this 38-year-old Glenburgie from cask #10307 in 2025.
