Edradour 11 yo - Cabernet Sauvignon Cask #2 - St. Michael Eppan

Special features: The Edradour distillery, often referred to as "Scotland's Little Gem," combines its traditional craftsmanship with the winemaking expertise of St. Michael Eppan in South Tyrol. For this limited-edition bottling, the single malt matured for 11 years in a first-fill Cabernet Sauvignon cask personally selected by cellar master Hans Terzer. This collaboration combines the complexity and elegance of a premium wine with the distinctive depth of Highland whisky.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: Fruity notes of dark berries and cherries, accompanied by subtle hints of wood and vanilla.
  • Palate: Full-bodied with aromas of blackcurrants, cassis and a hint of spices as well as a fine tannin influence.
  • Finish: Long-lasting, dry with an elegant fruit sweetness and a subtle spiciness.

Distillery/Bottler: Edradour is located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands near Pitlochry and is considered one of Scotland's smallest traditional distilleries. Since being acquired by Andrew Symington in 2002, Edradour has earned a reputation for its handcrafted, sometimes smoky single malts, still produced using 19th-century equipment. The collaboration with St. Michael Eppan brings a new dimension to the range and showcases the whisky's versatility.
